Last September, we shared why Soulkal sponsors Austin Varco. It was about connection. About purpose. About the belief that growth happens when people feel seen and understood.
This past weekend, that purpose got a bigger platform. Austin was given a last second opportunity to compete in the ARCA Menards Series, a meaningful step forward in his racing career. And as his platform grows, so does the reach of the mission behind it. That’s the story now. Not just why we sponsor Austin. But what happens when purpose scales.
The Reality Behind the Mission
Research shows that only about one quarter of young adults diagnosed with autism obtain a driver’s license by age 21 and only about one third by their mid-20s. For many, the barrier is not ability. It is fear. Driving can mean sensory overload. Unpredictability. Anxiety. A loss of control. And when an experience feels overwhelming before it even begins, most people understandably opt out.
Austin understands that personally. Diagnosed with Level 1 autism at age 20, he reframed what that meant for his life. Racing became more than competition. It became a vehicle for advocacy. Through his nonprofit work, Austin brings professional grade driving simulators and racecar experiences to events across the country. In a safe, controlled environment, individuals with autism can sit down, take the wheel, and experience something many assumed was out of reach. And in that moment, something shifts.
-
The unknown becomes familiar
-
The fear becomes manageable
-
The impossible becomes possible
-
Confidence changes trajectories
-
After a short drive on the simulator, many are inspired and excited to drive more.
Scale Changes Impact
Here is why this ARCA opportunity matters beyond motorsports. Visibility fuels mission. ARCA, NASCAR's first rung National Touring Series, provides the scope and scale for Austin to prove his talent on the racetrack in front of a global audience.
-
Every new race
-
Every larger stage
-
Every additional sponsor logo
It all expands the audience for what Austin is building off the track. The more his racing career grows, the more communities he can reach, the more events he can attend, the more simulators he can bring, and ultimately, the more families can witness their son or daughter sit behind the wheel and realize: They can do this!
That’s a platform used responsibly. This is growth tied to purpose.
Why This Matters to Soulkal
At Soulkal, our why is about strengthening the bonds between people, brands, and communities. We believe growth is not just transactional. It is relational. Austin’s journey mirrors something we see every day in business. When identity is clear and purpose is authentic, momentum follows.
Just as Austin is scaling his racing career to scale his impact, we help growing brands scale in ways that strengthen culture, deepen belonging, and unify teams across locations. Different industries. Same principle.
Growth is most powerful when it serves something bigger. When our logo went on that ARCA car, it was not simply exposure. It was alignment with a mission that builds independence, confidence, and connection.
From Momentum to Movement
The September story was about belief. This weekend was about momentum. And momentum, when tied to purpose, becomes movement.
We are proud to support Austin Varco, not just as a driver, but as a leader expanding what is possible for a community that deserves more opportunity, more visibility, and more belief.
Because when purpose gets a bigger platform, everyone moves forward. And that is the kind of growth we stand behind.
